The Summer Island!!

23.7.2010
Yesterday when we came here it was warm and even the lake was 20 degrees warm.
How cold is the water in NZ?
Yesterday we did not have time to do anything else but to have a night swim.

This morning I woke up and it was hot in my room.
Then mum wanted me and my sisters to come and work with her.
In two days it is midsummer and it will be so fun.
Midsummer on the island is fun because we do a treasure hunt, question walk and all the other midsummer things like; dressing the midsummer pole, singing a song while putting it up, sing and dance around it but best of all things we do is the lotto. The lotto prices are not rubbish. There are for example cooking things for adults and toys all ages can play with for the children.
I hope I get my numbers first because than I get to pick what I want first.
I am getting tired now of all the sun so I'm planning going to bed now/ bye Johanna

24.7.2010
This morning I woke up twice, so annoying.
My sister Lovisa got really sick in the night and had about 40 degrees.
I feel really sorry for her.
For breakfast we had mannagryn porridge.
Now my brother is playing sick so he can get some fruit like Lovisa got. I'm going to town to shop for tomorrow... we have just come home from town and a friend is soon coming to her little house on the summer island. Her name is Maxilina.
On the trip to town we looked for flowers so we knew where to stop on the way home to pick some for our flower crowns and for the midsummer pole.
Now Maxilina is here, she's got a dog and his name is Fox.
He is so cute!!!
Tomorrow we are having all our older cousins over; Jemima 24years (she is married), Hanna 22years, Rebecca 20years (engaged), Julia 18years and Aron 15years.
It is going to be so cool seeing them.
Have to clean up after all the fun
See you Johanna

Yes!!!
It is midsummer and the time is 12am. My cousins are coming and our flower crowns are completed.
Everything feels perfect and I and my brother are waiting for the guests to arrive.
Here they come!!
I love strawberries, ice cream and cream!!
Yummy Yummy
Puff puff it is heavy carrying a big pile of chairs all the way to the soccer field were we have the midsummer party!!
The party was exactly like I described it before.
I won three things: a badminton set, some stamps with paint and pencil and a painting kit.
For dinner we are having BBQ with pork fillet.
Sadly our cousins are going now and I must say good bye. Before they go I must pick seven flowers and put them under my pillow and jump over seven stone wall. This will make me dream about the man I am going to marry.
Good night Johanna

26.7.2010
Sadly I did not dream anything that I can remember, but I had a great time yesterday.
Today we are going home and I am very sad but I feel happier knowing that we are going to Halmstad. That’s where we lived before and where we have most of our friends.
We are staying there for two weeks.
Where we are going to live we don’t have internet so I have to wright on paper again.
See you Johanna

50 years marriage!!

Hello today we are going to my Grandmas and grandpas summer island.
We are going to swim a lot!!
Sadly enough there is no internet why I will do all my writing on paper and upload when we come home again.
Some days ago my Grandparents celebrated their gold marriage that means that they been married for 50 years. They went to Berlin (the capital of Germany) and came home last night.
In ten years time it will be their diamond marriage (60 years of marriage.)

Tom Tit's Experimements

Hi today I’ve had one of the best day so far. We woke up at 7am and had to take a shower and hurry up because we were going to Tom Tit’s Experiment World.
It was awesome.
It is almost like a Technical Museum, but a lot better.
There are 610 attractions and experiments.
It is the biggest playhouse in the world!
There is an attraction called “free fall” a 44 meter long slide, four stories high and a robot that swings you around and around. My favourite attraction was riding a biked around in a huge wheel on a wall. You ride the bike around the wheel so that at the top you’re upside down.
In the evening at home we picked 213 snails without shells.
It was cool to get so many of them, but very yucky.
The day before we collected only 29 snails.
They really like the rain!!
See you Johanna

Yesterday the Old Town then today Skansen.

Yesterday we went on a tram to the Old Town.
The Old Town is the original Stockholm which has very old buildings. The tall and beautiful buildings were mostly built in the 1700 and 1800 century. There are about 3000 people living there today.
We visited a lot of tourist shops and we could not resist taking a photo with me wearing a Viking helmet.
Today we went to Skansen.
Skansen is a family park with lots of animals and fun things for children.
Almost like a zoo but with more like a park feeling. They have moved about a hundred old buildings from other parts of Sweden here.
We saw several brown bears. They are really huge.
We have about 4000 of them in our forests in Sweden.
What are you guys doing?
Miss you Johanna
